Lazy to blog? Get a PaPeRo

Papero Robots

We have robots that do housework, robots that dance, robots for video conferencing etc etc and guess what.. now we have robots that blog for you. All you need to do is to talk to them. Freaky isn’t it?

NEC Corporation announced development of a new system for automatically creating multi-media blogs. The new system has been developed on NEC’s prototype robot PaPeRo, and is initialized when a user begins a conversation with PaPeRo about the events of their day, which the system then records and analyzes. Following this, PaPeRo searches for suitable multi-media contents on the internet, including images, illustrations and music, which are automatically uploaded and edited along with the video recording on the user’s blog.

  • Scribe Scribd is a way of easily put your documents online. You can display your documents of almost all formats (Words, PDF, PowerPoint, JPEG, HTML and even audio format) on a web browser using Scribd’s custom Flash PDF player. Great idea and this one was made a reality. Let’s see how it works..

    First, visit Scribd.com.. obviously :D

Click on Upload Now (I am too lazy to sign up for an account). Then click Click to Upload and a browse window will pop up. You can select multiple files using your CTRL or SHIFT key. I uploaded SCRIBD TEST.doc.

  • Google Adsense has rolled out video units on 10 oct. Besides creating a new way for publishers to enrich the content of their sites, it offers an opportunity for publishers to earn extra income as ads will be embedded into these video units.

How do I earn with video units?

    According to Google Adsense:-

When you place a video unit on your website, you’ll earn revenue from two types of ad formats: companion ads, which sit above your video content within the player and can be either text or image-based, and text overlay ads, which appear in the bottom 20% of the video content area. Ads on video units can be paid on either a cost-per-click or cost-per-thousand impression basis.

You can find common questions about Adsense video units here. Tired of reading? Watch the video below:-

    Kontera

I received an email from Kontera (a leading provider of In-Text Advertising) today stating that they are offering payment through Paypal to Malaysian. WOW! Another great news for Malaysian publishers. First, Google Adsense offers payment through Western Union, then Paypal allows withdrawal through credit/debit card and now, Kontera offers payment through Paypal.

Here is one part of the email I received from Kontera:-

    Dear Kontera Partner,

Did you know that we are offering payment through PayPal to Malaysia? With PayPal, you no longer have to wait multiple days for your check to arrive as it can be deposited into your PayPal account. Not to mention, you no longer have to worry about it being lost in the mail.
