LogMeIn – Access your Home and Work computer from anywhere

Having two workstations in my office in two separate locations is not funny when you need to access data or retrieve information from one of the workstations.

I am grateful when I was introduced to an online tool – LogMeIn.com to remote access any PCs or MACs from anywhere with internet connection. Cool huh? And the best of all, it has a free version with basic features. The “Pro” version (with a lot of more features)  is priced at $69.95 per PC per year.

I am eye-ing LogMeIn Ignition for iPhone which will cost me US $29.99. Wait till I upgrade my iPhone to 3Gs :P

Here are some screenshots:

OK, back to LogMeIn Free/Pro version.  If you are interested, follow these simple steps:-

  1. Click here to register an account. Select “LogMeIn Access, Management and Networking“.
  2. LogMeIn will send an account activation email to you. ACTIVATE your account!
  3. Click “Add this Computer” and then download LogMeIn software and install on the PC(s) you want to access remotely.

  4. After installation, click “My Computers” on the right Menu of your admin panel to view the list of computers you added into your account.
  5. I use Firefox to access my LogMeIn account (LogMeIn plugin is required) or you may use Internet Explorer. It is up to you!
  6. The rest is quite straightforward. Let me know if you need any assistance. :D

They will probably allow you to use their LogMeIn Pro2 for 30 days and at the end of the trial period, if you are not interested in subscribing to LogMeIn Pro2, they will downgrade your version to FREE version.
