iPhone have been around from 2007 and they are the last word in smart phones. Designed and marketed by Apple Inc., iPhone has multiple functionalities.  Other than the basic use as a telephone, iPhone can be used for text messaging, as a camera and a portable media player. Web browsing on the iPhone, clear displays and a long batter life are some of its major advantages. So be it in office, at home or on the move iPhone can be your most trusted companion.

iPhone 4, which was unveiled on 7th June, set to hit the stores on 24th June.  It is not only an improvement over iPhone 3Gs but it is one of the most technologically advanced mobile phones available. Its features include a retina display which makes it the highest resolution phone available. It has a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch and each pixel is about 78 micrometers across. The pixels are so small that human eye cannot distinguish between them, making the display an astounding visual treat. The phone also gets rid of the problem of LCD visibility from different angles with IPS technology colour and contrast which makes visibility consistent from almost any viewing angle.

The phone has an exterior made with engineered glass. Almost as strong as helicopter windshields, this type of glass is 20 times stiffer and 30 times harder than plastic. It is also scratch resistant thus making it almost unbreakable and thus making your worries of dropping your phone seem like problems of the past. iPhone 4 is ultra durable and will be with you for a long time. The new model also has a stainless steel band running around the body of the phone. It gives structure and rigidity to the phone supporting its thin design. The band also acts as a part of the antenna for 3G and Wi-Fi.

The A4 processor chip of the phone is highly powerful for supporting multitasking activities but also very power efficient. The power efficiency is achieved by smart use of the battery power. The subcomponents of the A4 processor chip can be switched off when not in use, thus conserving power.

The iPhone 4 camera captures the most life like, 5 mega pixel images and high definition videos. Be it moments from your child’s birthday party or a picturesque sunset that you want to capture, the iPhone 4 camera comes to your rescue every time. It uses an advanced technology of backside illumination sensor which helps in capturing images even in low-light settings. While clicking still pictures, it is used as a flash and during shooting videos it stays on to provide enough light to capture the images. The phone also provides a camera on the front. Thus you can capture two images simultaneously. You can capture the event occurring in front of you and also record your own reactions to it.

One of the biggest features of the iPhone 4 is video calling. Thanks to the front camera, you can video chat over Wi-Fi connection. Making your conversations more personalized, this face to face chat gives a whole new meaning to connectivity. You can not only talk to but also see your loved one no matter where you are. Apple calls this Facetime and it is surely going to be one of the most sought after features in all future phones. This feature could also be used for video conferencing for new age professionals who are always on the move. iPhone makes doing business and keeping in touch with family that much simpler.

iPhone 4 can also function as your I-pod where you can watch luminous full screen videos on the multi touch screen. It has a new gyroscope built in that can track movement with very high precision. Other feature of the iPhone 4 include a micro sim, a 300 hours standby battery life, the most advanced web browser, two microphone for a better interface during video conferencing, a smart keyboard and a unique slim design that makes it easy to carry. The functions of the phone can also be personalized with voice control where your phone responds to your voice commands. iPhone 4 definitely is a multi utility package, an answer to your every need.

Michelle says:

I don’t have my own iphone yet, but my brother has one and I really want it too but I don’t want to shell out for one just yet. These are a lot of cool features buy maybe they’d turn even cooler. I’d like to keep it for a while rather than keep switching.

At least it has multitasking, like every other phone on the market today.

Steve says:

The iPhone 4 change everything but could be the AppleGate…
My iPhone 4 has the antena problem and i’m pretty impatient to know what Steve will says about it tomrorrow… (Apple’s special Press conference)

Nob says:

I like the black one. Excited to have it on my birthday!

Once those new cases arrive I’m so grabbing one of these.

Gavin says:

There are like a hundred Android phones, but only a few that offer better features than the iPhone4, since the makers at HTC are using iPhone as a benchmark for their next move. The build quality of this iPhone is remarkable. Its not as simple as just having a larger screen, but, a higher quality screen. Its not that it has a higher megapixel camera, but, a camera that I trust to allow me to send pics throughout my previously purchased apps without trouble.

Lex says:

I timed it bad on this one. I got an iphone 3G right before the 4 came out, doh! My old iphone died and so it was time to replace it. But I should have known why they were selling the 3G off cheap. I hear some people had problems with reception though. So maybe it’s best to let a few “early adopters” work out the bugs before buying a product :)

Shinjuku says:

Too bad about the antena, I’ll stick with 3g for now, works better or untill the fix up the 4g.

Although the new camera is pretty tempeting.

yani says:

yep, heard all the changes made just this month..the september fever allowed apple to flourish once again..

Cady says:

Its cool that the operating system is already upgraded for the iPhone 4
