My 3rd Adsense payment is now ready for collection and this will be the final update on Adsense’s recent new payment method via Western Union.

I have made collection from RHB and CIMB before and it seems that CIMB is more efficient. Therefore, I have ‘appointed’ CIMB as my official bank to collect my Adsense payment. 

You can also collect your Adsense payment via Pos Malaysia as well but not all outlets provide Western Union services. Furthermore, the queue is usually unbearable!

All publishers outside US will generate lesser income due to the drop in US currency recently. I have feeling that it will drop further seeing that US market fared in past weeks.

Yup, it is same procedure for collecting your payment from RHB but the service is slower. Will return to CIMB for my next Adsense payment.

Ever since I wrote a post on “Adsense Payment via Western Union“, I am looking forward to receive my first Adsense Payment through Western Union. Maybe it is because this is first time I am dealing with Western Union.. so it is good to learn something new.

I checked on my Adsense Payment History (My Account -> Payment History) and it shows that payment for September Earnings has been issued! By clicking on the ‘details’ link next to the Payment Issued line, I can find my unique Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) for this payment. Print that page and bring it along with your government issued ID to your nearest Western Union agent. It has all the information (MTCN, Sender’s Address and Payment Amount) required to withdraw your fund. Cheers!

UPDATE

Collected my payment at CIMB, Mid Valley. The procedure is simple. Fill up Western Union – to receive money form and withdraw from the counter.

The rate I got is USD 1 = RM3.315. What is yours?

I guess I was late to post up an entry on Adsense’s new payment method – Western Union since this blog is relatively new. However, this payment method is only available in the following countries:-

1. Argentina
2. Chile
3. China (Mainland)
4. Colombia
5. Malaysia – yeah!
6. Pakistan
7. Peru
8. Philippines
9. Romania

Google – The payment will be available for pickup at the local Western Union agent the day after they are issued.

That is super duper fast if compares to payment via check with take around 40 – 50 days.

Is there a fee involved? According to Adsense Blog …

It’s free to receive your AdSense payments by Western Union; you’ll no longer need to wait for a check to arrive in the mail. this choice can also cut down on bank fees and long clearing times associated with depositing checks.

I save around RM12 on bank fees as I usually deposit the check into my HSBC account.

Where can I receive the Adsense payment through Western Union?

1. For Malaysians, RHB, CIMB and Pos Malaysia
2. Other countries, click here to find your local Western Union agent. Call them to confirm that they offer the Quick Cash service.

How can I opt for Western Union?
Login into your Adsense account and go to My Account then Account Setting. Under Payment Details, click [edit].

Select “Setup Western Union Quick Cash” and click “Continue”. Ensure that the name in your government issued ID matches the payee name. Click “Save Changes” to complete the process.

And then?
Bring along the following information with you to your nearest Western Union agent. Make sure that your Adsense payee name match with the name on your government-issued ID. If not, click here to find out how you can update your payee name.

• a valid government-issued photo ID (Passport, Driver’s license, National ID etc)
• sender’s information:
  Google Inc.
  1600 Amphitheatre Parkway,
  Mountain View, California 94043,
  USA.
  Phone Number: 650-253-4000
• amount of your payment, which you can find on your Payment History page
• your unique MTCN (Money Transfer Control Number) which you can find by clicking on the ‘details’ link next to the Payment Issued line on your Payment History page
